October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

πŸ’• October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an important reminder to all that *screening saves lives.* If you are due for a mammogram, please reach out to your health care provider today. This is not something to be postponed. Please know also that Project Renewal’s Scan Van will be on Staten Island in the coming weeks, offering FREE screenings to women ages 40+ who have not had a mammogram in the past year. Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling Project Renewal at 646-415-7932.

Also, Richmond University Medical Center will mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a ceremony to honor those lost to the disease and to celebrate the courage of survivors and those currently battling breast cancer. The ceremony will be tomorrow, Thursday, October 8, at noon, in front of the flagpole, adjacent to the main entrance.
